20 Sep 2008 - Salute to the 1940s

At "Salute to the 1940s" on 20th and 21st September 2008 visitors step back in time to the Chatham Dockyard of the 1940s and enjoy a fantastic weekend of nostalgia, wartime experiences and entertainment. In just two years this has become a firm favourite with many groups.

This event is in addition to the wonderful maritime heritage presented by the galleries, attractions and buildings of The Historic Dockyard Chatham, which of course can be visited on non-event days as well. The Museum of the Royal Dockyard will be open as normal.
